Irish Rain – Skincare, not weather

I was a bit dubious about putting this post up as I am not one to wish more rain on us. However, if it was all like this brand it would be a very different story!

Irish Rain Revitalising Facial Oil, Regenerative Cellular Repair Cream and Nourishing Restorative Body Oil

Irish Rain are an Irish brand. It was founded by John Collins and Cathy Kirk – both of whom have an interest in organic and natural produce. On the website they say “We both believe beauty is synonymous with health. Our approach is holistic; health & beauty are achieved through diet, exercise & natural skincare. As the skin is the largest organ in the body it can’t be underestimated the importance of applying creams & oils that nourish the skin in a non toxic way.

With this philosophy in mind we decided to combine our skills & knowledge to produce a skincare range with our values based on organic products with no chemical nasties that is cruelty free.” I was lucky enough to be sent three of the products from the range so this is a quick over view of my thoughts on them so far.

The three products I received were: Revitalising Facial Oil (RRP €19.99), Regenerative Cellular Repair Cream (RRP €24.99) and Nourishing Restorative Body Oil (€29.99). The first thing that struck me about the products is the packaging. Each product comes in a beautiful glass jar in a vibrant colour. The body oil has a pump to distribute the oil and the facial oil comes with a dropper which means there is no waste as you only take out what you need at a time.

Regenerative Cellular Repair Cream (RRP €24.99) contains geranium, sandalwood, patchouli, frankincense and rosewood. These elements make it a great cream for anyone (like myself) who has sensitive skin as they help with calming and healing in addition to the cream providing a rich hydration. I found this great as a night cream as I felt it needed to be left undisturbed on the skin to get the full benefits.

Revitalising Facial Oil (RRP €19.99) is a rosehip oil with sandalwood, Cardamon and lavender added. This combination promotes regeneration and healing while calming and soothing the skin. Again, this is ideal for sensitive skin and I found it great paired with the Regenerative Cellular Repair Cream at night when my skin needed a little extra TLC. A little of this goes a long way!

Nourishing Restorative Body Oil (€29.99) is a rich blend of Organic Argan and Avocado oils with active essential oils that dramatically boost moisture and increase collagen and elastin production. This oil also contains geranium, frankincense, patchouli and sandalwood. These combine to stimulate circulation & improve lymphatic drainage. rejuvenate and balance the skin stimulating the growth of new cells and to calm and soothe the mind. It’s everything you would want in a body oil (and makes it ideal for massage I am sure!).

I have really loved using these products and my skin has really seen a benefit. It’s an added bonus to be supporting an Irish business, especially one with such strong values. You can find a list of stockists here.
