I was looking for a new tag post to do when I saw this on Haileys blog (here). It seemed like divine intervention seeing as the topic for #JuneBBC today is lip products! This is a tag that Hailey’s friend Max created and you can find her blog here and the tag itself here.
How many lipsticks do you own?
At last count it was 64… I know not every single lipstick managed to get counted in that ‘census’ though so there are probably a few more…
What was your first ever lipstick?
I remember getting a makeup set for a present when I was about 7 and it had stackable lipsticks in it. There were about 6 bullets that fitted into each other in shades of red, pink, orange, purple and brown. I thought I was the business doing people’s makeup – little did I know it was an omen for times to come.
The first lipstick that I owned as an adult and really loved was Heatherberry from 17 (Boots) and it is still a shade I love.
What is your most worn lipstick?
My New CID cosmetics lipstick in the shade Damson or my MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Prolong.
What is your favourite brand for lipstick?
I love New CID but find it hard to get them and the shade range is limited. For a variety of colours at a reasonable price I don’t think you can beat Rimmel.
What is your favourite finish?
I love a cream finish in a lipstick. For a red I think a matte also looks fab but I am very conscious that your lips have to be in good condition for it or there is no point!
What was the last lip product you bought?
I bought the Inglot Play freedom palette from this post in May and haven’t bought any other lip stuff since that I can recall… Oh wait, no, I bought two W7 lipglosses last week. They’ll be coming up on the blog soon!
How many lip products do you currently have in your handbag? (Including balms and glosses)
I don’t wear makeup to work so in my work handbag I just have LA ROCHE-POSAY Ceralip Lipid-Replenishing Lip Cream. When I am going out at the weekend I bring at least three lip products with me: lipliner, lipstick and lipgloss that match in at least one shade but often two in case I need to dress a look up!
What lipstick do you use to rock a red lip?
I use MAC Cherry lipliner and MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Prolong. I have a lipgloss from Seka Cosmetics that I tend to use over it if I want to give it an extra gloss.
How do you store your lipsticks?

What lip products are you currently lusting after?
I would love to get my hands on some more of the Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Colors. Other than that I can’t really think of any lip products that I would love to have. Maybe you have some suggestions?

Your lipstick collection is one I would love to see, but then again I’d love to see all your makeup! I don’t think I have any suggestions you probably already don’t have! Maybe Isadora’s Jelly Kiss range, or NYC expert last? I’m loving those! Although annoying the cap doesn;t stay on the NYC so mine looks mangled now…

I’ll be honest and say that I have barely had time to play around with them as I have been so busy the last few weeks. First impressions are good but I haven’t worn them for any real length of time yet.

My First lipstick’s were Coffee Shimmer and Heather Shimmer (Rimmel????) they really show my age dont they? My first grown up lipstick was Rocker by MAC sadly discontinued, (again showing my age). I love a Viva Glam V – very Pamela Anderson … (once again Im old haha!)
Q – do you own a Tom Ford or YSL Pigment red???
No, I don’t own either if those. MAC would be my most expensive lipstick. Some day I’ll have them though! 😉

I remember those stackable lipsticks so well, everything got coated in lipstick lol.
